Solent Nightz supports the UKFSC and its chosen charities....

Solent Nightz is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the UKFSC (The UK Firefighters Sailing Challenge) to provide competitors with accommodation options in Portsmouth on the 27th April and in Cowes on the 28th and 29th of April 2009. Solent Nightz will be making a charitable donation to the events charities for every accommodation booking received for the event.
Solent Nightz will also be supporting the regatta by donating the free use of its Cowes office facilities, Cowes HQ, in the Cowes Yacht Haven for the UKFSC to use for check in, skipper briefings and a regatta support office.
The UK Firefighters Sailing Challenge promises to be one of the most exciting yet attracting participants from across the whole country and from every spectrum of the emergency services including fire, police, ambulance and mountain rescue. The UK Firefighters Sailing Challenge provides an annual 3-day event opportunity for crews of 8 personnel to compete, using the same design yachts under race conditions, in an environment where the skill level varies from expert to mere novice. It is open to personnel from the fire service and other blue light services. From 9 competing boats in 2005 to 23 in 2008.
