The Energy Regatta began life as The Scott Challenge in 1993 when partners of the Scott Field participated in a friendly series of yacht races to celebrate the success of the Scott Project. Since then, the event has grown considerably and invitations have been extended to include other guest oil companies with up to 20 entries.

With over 1,500 yachts competing (that's more than 10,000 sailors), the annual one day J.P. Asset Management Round the Island Race is the largest public participation sailing event in the yachting world!

The Temple Legal Regatta will take place on 12th July 2012 from Port Hamble Marina, just outside Southampton. 

Competitors will enjoy an exciting days training and racing for 8 people onboard a superb Beneteau 40.7 yacht, under the expert guidance of a professional skipper and 1st mate. 

2012 Dates: at a meeting of Class Reps during the Regatta and confirmed at a general vote during prize-giving, the dates for 2012 have been confirmed as 23 - 27 July 2012. This is a week later than originally proposed and immediately adjacent to the Olympics to shorten the proximity to Cowes Week (which will be held immediately after the Olympics), avoid course clashes with the 8mR Worlds and benefit from smaller tides as well as allow the Loch Longs to hold their 75th Anniversary at the Regatta.

Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week is a fusion of many exciting elements, with its great mix of competitive sailing and social activities. 

The Profile Sailing Cup is the leading sailing event for the Hospitality and Travel Industry and Tourist Authorities. 

The 13th IT Regatta, now known as The EMC Silicon Cup, will take place in September 2012 and is targeted to attract 50+ yachts, 500+ attendees and aims to raise over £50K for a selection of charities including the NSPCC.
